Industrial plastic recycling and collection method

Plastic recycling completes RBL Plastiques value proposition and is integrated into RBL Recycle, dedicated to circularity of post-industrial plastics. It recovers internal scraps, rejects and thermoformed parts at the end of their life cycle.

Why collect and recycle plastics?

Against a backdrop of regulatory pressure andincreasing demands in terms of environmental impact, manufacturers must prove their ability to manage their plastic waste effectively.

The Collection & Recycling solution meets these challenges by reducing treatment costs, by reducing non-recovered waste and by supporting a local industry that limits transport. It will enable you to rapidly improve your CSR indicators and enables transform post-industrial plastics into new plates and reels, contributing to’circular economy.

RBL Plastiques is one of the few converters to offer a complete, certified solution combining collection, sorting, shredding and material recovery. This approach also enables manufacturers to control their internal flows and optimise the use of materials. economic recovery of materials.

The 4 key steps the collection and recycling process

1. Customer needs and commercial launch

The process begins when the customer wants to reprocess their materials, informs us of its requirements, specifying volumes, the type of polymer, collection frequency and logistical conditions.

Based on this information, the sales team draws up a complete proposal using the DDP Recycle form. Once this proposal has been validated, the operational process is launched and the recycling flow can begin.

2. Logistics planning and receipt of materials

Order entry triggers requirements planning in transport, while logistics reception is organised around the precise identification of the pallets of elements to be recycled, this ensures a controlled flow of materials from the moment they arrive.

3. Material quality control and grinding

On arrival, each batch is individually quality control in order to check the polymer confirm the absence of pollution and ensure compliance with shredding requirements.

Once validated, the materials are crushed in batches, then packed in identified big-bags, before being recorded in the shredder management table. Finally, they are weighing via connected scales, guaranteeing accurate and reliable environmental monitoring.

4. Valuation certificate

The big bags are then sent to our extrusion partners., which transform them into new plastic sheets or coils. This transformation completes the circular loop, since the collected plastic becomes a reusable raw material.

At the end of the process, a certificate of recovery or destruction is issued for each batch, guaranteeing full traceability. This is then communicated to the customer in proof of the reprocessing initiative.

We are replying to your questions

What types of plastic are recycled by RBL Plastiques?

L
K

A wide range of polymers and thermoplastics is now an integral part of our environmental approach (ABS, PS, PE, APET, PVC, ABS/PMMA). The material is harvested in the form of offcuts, scrap or thermoformed parts at the end of their life.

Are recycled materials used in products?

L
K

Where technical specifications allow, recycled materials are reintegrated into production, with incorporation rates defined at the design stage and during the study phase of the industrial project. The level of integration will depend in particular on the industrial constraints of the project in question.

Do you offer a take-back service for end-of-life products?
